Extraordinary recognition of credits old degrees

EXTRAORDINARY RECOGNITION OF CREDITS EARNED FROM COMPLEMENTARY TRAINING IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING DEGREES, FOR STUDENTS TRANSFERRING FROM DEGREES IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING (110), TECHNICAL ENGINEERING IN COMPUTER MANAGEMENT (111), AND TECHNICAL ENGINEERING IN COMPUTER SYSTEMS (112)

 

In accordance with that agreed by the Academic Degree Committee (CAT) regarding the degree in Computer Engineering in their meeting on 10/12/2013 from point 5 of the agenda, they approved the proposal for Extraordinary Recognition of Credits for the Degree in Computer Engineering (156) for those transferred students coming from degrees in Computer Engineering (110), Technical Engineering in Computer Management (111), and Technical Engineering in Computer Systems (112), the text reads as follows:

“Those students once having transferred to the Degree in Computer Engineering, the number of recognised credits are less than those they had completed in the original degree, they shall be offered extraordinary recognition of credits for Complimentary Training, up to a maximum of 27 ECTS credits for the following reasons:

 

  1. Courses recognised by a different field to that completed by the student.
  2. Mandatory/optional/free elective courses passed in the original degree but not recognised by adaptation tables.
  3. Recognising company work placements completed in the original degree as external work placements (maximum 18 ECTS credits).
  4. Recognition of Free-Elective (LE) activities which feature in the current list of university activities recognised at Degree level (Maximum 6 ECTS credits): student representation, University Tutorial Action Plan (PATU) programme, MENTOR programme. Each activity shall be recognised by the corresponding credits which can be found in the catalogue of current university activities for bachelor’s degrees.
  5. Only credits earned in the Studies Plan 2001 shall be recognised.

 

Credit equivalence shall be 1 LRU credit = 1 ECTS credit “
